Housing Forward Town Hall Series: Mapping an Equitable Future
Through the Housing Forward initiative, the Florida Housing Coalition is charting a transformative path toward equitable housing solutions for all Floridians. This yearlong project brings together community voices, industry experts, and key stakeholders in a collaborative effort to identify challenges, share innovative ideas, and develop actionable solutions to address housing inequities across the state.
Guided by a shared commitment to equity, the initiative will culminate in the creation of a comprehensive action plan—a Blueprint for Housing Opportunity—which will be unveiled at next year’s conference. Together, we will ensure Florida’s housing ecosystem is inclusive, resilient, and accessible to all.
At the heart of this process are the monthly town halls —a series of interactive forums designed to foster deep collaboration, encourage diverse perspectives, and spark meaningful action.
Session Two: Mapping an Equitable Future

Building on the momentum of December’s kickoff, the Housing Forward Town Hall Series continues with an in-depth discussion of how a thriving housing ecosystem can support an equitable future in communities across Florida.
In this interactive session, we’ll highlight the interactive Housing Ecosystem Map as a key tool for identifying gaps, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation. This dynamic resource connects data with action, offering a comprehensive lens to understand and address challenges within Florida’s housing landscape.
Using the Housing Ecosystem Map, together we’ll explore how a thriving housing ecosystem makes homes available, accessible, resilient, innovative, equitable and permanently affordable. Also, in small group breakout discussions, we will determine how the elements and strategies on the Housing Ecosystem Map support the five major topics of the action plan introduced at the previous session. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, share strategies, and explore how their unique roles contribute to shaping a stronger housing ecosystem and an equitable future.
Whether you’re a housing advocate, policymaker, nonprofit leader, or industry expert, your voice matters in this conversation. Your insights will help advance the Blueprint for Housing Opportunity and guide Florida toward a future where everyone has access to safe, affordable, and sustainable housing.
